A family in need
I never, ever do this, but my son's former nanny needs help. She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer while she was pregnant. She gave birth to the baby 10 weeks early, so he's in the NICU. She's still undergoing chemo, then a double masectomy and then radiation to hopefully save her life. It's the holiday season and if anyone can help this amazing woman and her baby son, it would be appreciated. She had to quit her nanny job and move in with her mom. She obviously can't work now and they are hurting for money.

Re: A family in need
Omg I was going to post this myself!! My premature newborn daughter is in the same NICU with her son. What a small world. She is such a lovely, sweet person and is going through so much. Even with all that she's going through, she was holding my hand and crying with me when my baby was battling a pretty scary infection last week! It is hard enough being in the NICU with a premature baby, but she is shuffling into NYC for her chemo treatments too and has been having a really hard time with it all. If anyone wishes to be charitable this season, this would help a real life mom on Long Island who could very much use it, and I know the support would mean the world to her and raise her spirits. She is going to stay strong and beat her cancer so the financial support would go a long way to help them get back on their feet when she does!

That is a small world. This woman kept my baby son safe for a year and a half, and now I just pray that she and her son get through this to happier times. I will keep your baby in my thoughts, too!
