AF during Postpartum-TMI Warning

I've always had heavy periods (super plus tampon and Always Overnight Pad at same time) . Since having DS 4 months ago my periods are hell. I'm changing every 1 1/2-2 hours. First cycle after delivery I passed out twice (collapsed on the floor literally). My last 2 no passing out but still changing both frequently.

Anyone else experienced this? Prior to getting pregnant with DS while under the care of my RE I was told I had a couple of small fibroids not sure if it's that or what.

Yes.
Before having DD my periods were so manageable
Barely needed a super tampon. Usually just a regular.

After having her, my periods are ridiculous. Had to switch to Super plus tampons for the first few days and changing them constantly. Looks like a crime scene!

I also had a fibroid that I didn't even know I had until the dr saw it on an early sono.

But if that is the cause, why wasn't it making my periods heavy BEFORE I had her, kwim?

I don't pass out or anything like that, but it's definitely much heavier a period after having a baby, even now, 5 years later.

Yes my cycles were all wacky after giving birth both times, heavy bleeding and extreme bloating/painful trapped gas to the point where it was hard for me to function, plus my period would come every 3 weeks instead of once a month.. I had to go back on the pill both times just to regulate my cycle.

Mine have definitely changed, though not as drastically as you! I might consider going on the pill just to see if that helps you get through the next few months to see if things settle down a little. The pill tends to make periods lighter.

No kids here but have you had your thyroid checked recently with blood work? When I went off BC, my periods went wacky, ridiculously heavy flow, changing every 1-2 hrs and hormones out of control. I was a mess. OB/GYN sent me for blood and then straight to an endocrinologist who diagnosed Hashimoto's hypothyroidism.

yes I just had my second PP period and it was horrible. I was dizzy, nauseous, really sick all day. I was almost going to the doctor. The bleeding was so heavy I have never experienced a period like that before. It came 3 weeks after my first period. I'm hoping the next one isn't as bad!!

Mine changed but for the better. So far no cramps and minimal bleeding. Also regular. I always had bad cramping, heavy flow, and very irregular periods.

So strange how having a baby changes things.

Yes, I can set a clock now by my period and I can ALWAYS tell when I ovulate now. And like clockwork I get my period 2 weeks later.
I NEVER used to know when or IF I ovulated and I was SOOOO irregular I would go MONTHS without a period.

Yes, my $**t is all effed up now! It's always been heavy like you, but now, off the charts. I do have a fibroid on my right ovary too, but no pain. The plus side is that it's shorter.
OB lady basically told me it's age/hormones/Post Partum craziness and I had my tubes tied. She did tell me to follow up after 3mo.
