I need help

I am looking for guidance into Asburgers. Guidance in possibly finding a school in CT or NY for a 16 year old. Boarding maybe.

If anyone has resources of someone who can help me, guide me, give me a direction on where to start I would be appreciative.

I don't know of any boarding schools for children with Aspergers in NY per se, but there are residential schools, which is a school that provides residential services as well. You would have to fight hard with the school district to get approved for a residential placement. They don't come easily BC they are expensive. Typically for a school district to approve residential placement you would need to develop a strong case that the district and other day placements aren't appropriate.
Parents can pay out of pocket for a hefty price. If you want to PM me with more details ie: why residential services are being explored I might be able to provide some options for you.
If it's purely to gain independence there are some great options after 18 that mimic college programs.

I believe services in CT follow similar standards.
