North Shore Animal League Black Friday Event
Has anyone ever gone to one of their events where they waive the adoption fees? Do you think it would be crazy to go there tomorrow? I have been looking for a dog/puppy for awhile now but I don't want to battle crowds.

On a side note, I wish they wouldn't waive the adoption fees. There are disgusting people out there that do disgusting things with these poor animals. At least with a a fee you know the family is serious. Sorry, I know not what you asked.

They waive the fee every Monday. That's what I was told when I adopted a dog there in August.
I still made a donation though.

I'm sure it'll be crazy, it's crazy on a normal weekend. The wait for reference checks and paper work is normally really long, it will probably be hours tomorrow.
Still worth it to adopt though :) A lot of town shelters waive fees also :)

I don't think a fee ensures that a family is "serious"......

They do so much paperwork and it takes so many hours, I think anyone who goes through it is serious.
