Game of Thrones?
Ok I realize I am way way way behind - but I just spent the last few months getting through the whole series from the first Episode.
I watched the last one last night ..........WHAT the HELL ????
I was laughing b/c I was screaming at the TV - they get you SO invested in these characters and then all of a sudden ....DEAD !!
And now my husband tells me he has no clue when the next season begins, or if they even started filiming it yet -
TORTURE !!!
This is why I don't watch TV

Next season begins in April 2016! They've totally been filming!
Welcome to the insanity! 
And you can't even read the books now to get ahead of the show- they're all caught up! It's torture!
ETA: And the author, George RR Martin, is RUTHLESS. No character is safe- he'll kill anyone off. Usually for shows you're like oh no- he's the main character he'll be okay. Not with this one!
ETAA: And THIS is the new poster for next season.... just to f*ck with us some more. Is he? Isn't he? The debate continues....

Read them anyway! They're fantastic books- and there are some parts that I think are a *little* further ahead than the shows, but barely. It's rough out there for a nerd.

WHAT the hell with that poster??
All DH keeps saying is 'they didn't burn his body' ........ I could not BELIEVE they did that to him - it was almost as bad as Rob Stark's death - I was literally screaming at the TV and traumatized for days - 
DH of course finds this all hilarious b/c he's been watching forever so he knows what's coming and is waiting for my reaction -
and that stupid witch is there with him - I loathe that woman.

Haha that Red Wedding was HARSH. I won't lie- I cried. Honestly, Ramsay Snow/Bolton freaks me out the most... I wasn't a Theon Greyjoy fan at all, but poor Reek! I couldn't watch the scenes with him. 
Melisandre is a creeeeeep- it was tough to watch when they burned Stannis's daughter, too... and all for what?? Nothing.
Basically, this show is like a car crash- hard to watch but you CAN'T turn away.
ETA: There's a LOT of speculation about Jon Snow and who he REALLY is. The book touches on it a bit more than the show has yet.... but did Ned Stark really seem like the type of guy to cheat on his wife? Not in my book. I bet your DH has some opinions on those theories.
And I don't count ANYONE dead until I see the corpse... and even THEN it's not for sure.

Oooh - I didn't think of that.

Caitlyn really thinks/thought that Jon was Ned's *******. Ned never told anyone what happened. I don't think Caitlyn hated Jon, I just think she resented him because of who she was led to believe his parents are.
LOVE THIS SHOW
And while I am not a fan of the red witch, the fact that she is at the wall where Jon was killed... she can bring him back to life. She has done it before.... just sayin'!

I agree that I think Jon Snow Ned's sister and someone else (I won't put in the possible spoiler). However, I think Ned kept that secret from Catlyn, thus, Catlyn always believed that Jon was Ned's ******* son which is she hated Jon so much.

Agreed! Ned was a man of honor- if someone asked to keep Jon's identity a secret... especially if Jon's life DEPENDED on it, he wouldn't even tell his wife. No matter what.
Like I said, there's a lot of speculation about WHO his actual parents are. It's all speculation but.....
Some say he may be a Targaryen... that Ned's sister was raped by a Targaryen or that she went willingly with Rhaegar. Since Robert Baratheon hunted down the Targaryens with a vengeance, Jon would NEVER have been safe if his actual parentage was known. There's also a lot of talk about "the dragon has three heads." Who are the three? Daenarys for one... Jon perhaps? And who else? I have my theories about that as well. 
ETA: As you can tell I'm a teensy bit obsessed with this series... the books, the show, the fan theories, the whole damn thing!
