Congratulations to all of us LIFers! We did it!
We made it to the day before Thankgiving without a 10-page thread about Black Friday/stores open on Thanksgiving/the true meaning of the holidays.
I've been posting here for years and this is the first Thanksgiving that has rolled around where we haven't had a back-and-forth exhausting thread about it.
So, go us!!!
Happy Thankgiving everyone!!!

OMG you are right!! That's amazing!!!
We can only hope the trend continues with threads on cleaning snow off your cars and icicle Christmas lights.
We already had the merry Christmas argument thread so I can't name that one LOL

No thread because opening on Thanksgiving is the new "norm". People are finally starting to realize it.

Rei is trying to start an 'optoutside' movement. They are closing black Friday and encouraging people to get outside instead.

I saw that, that is pretty awesome.
Honestly though, shopping in stores is SO last century.

This is true.
I can happily say that I am almost done with all my Christmas Shopping! The only thing left is something for my DH and a bunch of gift cards.
All done ON LINE!!
This has been the earliest & most stress free Christmas shopping season I have had to date!

Me too- and not to mention, between Amazon Prime, and my Target Red Card that offers free shipping always and 5% off everything off the top, I do way better than going to a store.
Not to mention Ebates.
Going to a store and standing in lines is such a thing of the past!
thank God!

That's because no one is going shopping this year due to BPA in receipts.
I kid, I kid I just couldn't refrain.

Yup, so far all of my shopping has been done online. Only have a few more people to buy for and that's it!

That is also another reason for online shopping. The receipts that come in the boxes are printed on regular old fashioned BPA free paper!

True. I'll try to avoid eating them.

I have to say, as paranoid as I am about everything, I had never heard of the BPA receipt thing until Paramount's post!
