Those Who Normally Get Their Trees at Grandpa Tony's Tree Farm
I meant to post this awhile ago, but Grandpa Tony is retiring and is handing the business to Matt's next door.
I understand, but I'm so sad. The family there was wonderful and it's been our tradition to get our tree there for the past five years.
We're debating Lewins or going to Matt's.

Don't even get me started on how expensive all the other tree farms are this year. Like 75+!!!! To cut down my own tree... Out of their damn minds. And to know that he sold it to that crook next door. Grrr. Grandpa was the best! Didn't rip you off. So pleasant... So sorry to see it go... I haven't been able to find a place comparable yet... Lewin's is cheap but it's bc their trees look like crap and it could take hours to find a decent tree if you even find one at all. I don't know... I'm so upset with the whole situation lol

Re: Those Who Normally Get Their Trees at Grandpa Tony's Tree Farm
oh man! I was planning on going there this year after I read such great things last year.
Went to Lewin's last year and after an hour we left without a tree. A few years back Lewin's was much better, of course you had to trim it, but we were able to find decent trees. Last year was just awful.
Guess we'll go to home depot this year

Skip Lewins the trees were so awful. We walked around in the cold for over an hour last year and didn't get a tree. We are going to try Santas Christmas Tree Farm or Shamrock Farm

We're hoping to try Shamrock Farm. Have you ever been? Their website says they have a train for the kids.

I haven't been but a couple of people I know have been to both farms and said good things about both.

Anyone happen to know the prices at either of these places?

We looked up Santa's and it is $75 any tree up to a certain height and I remember Shamrock being expensive too! We usually do Lewin's, but it's gotten harder to find a tree each year.

We always go to Santa's. It is expensive but they have great trees and it is family tradition in DH family so we just suck it up.
