rocking horse
I know a lot of people mention RHR on here. We are able to get a really good deal for the spring. Deciding if we want to go. We have a 5 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old. What kinds of activities are therE? If you went do you have a photo album I can see? What did you like about it? The baby would probably be in child care a lot i imagine. The older ones still too young for horesback riding. we don't really love waterparks. They skeeve me out for some reason. Thoughts? IT would be a weekend for 1K. How is dining? Is it all buffets? A la carte? Big family style tables? (it's a group rate). Not sure this is for us lol

Re: rocking horse
We went last January and had a blast skiing, snow tubing, ice skating, horseback riding, the waterpark, the shows, etc. We love to do outdoor winter activities though. I would never go there in the Spring, not enough to do for my liking. Especially if you can't horseback ride, and don't like the waterpark. I would cancel if I were you to be honest. It doesn't sound like you would enjoy it.
As for meals, breakfast and lunch are a buffet. You are seated by the staff. Dinner is off a menu. The food situation skeeved me. Kids serving themselves, and the actual handles of the serving utensils that 100's of people just touched (the top part you grab) were resting ON the food. The staff would actually lay them on the food like that. Not in bins. It was gross. I emailed them about it, and their lack of response turned me off.

Re: rocking horse
We went in April and if your kids are under seven IMHO it is too expensive for what you get. The food is great. But it really is better for older kids. It is all buffet.

Re: rocking horse
We go every winter. Kids are older so they can do the horseback riding and tubing we love it as a weekend get away. Not sure what is there in the spring. they have a fun tent that has a bounce house, ping pong tables and a nerf ball shooting thing. they do pony rides and have a nice play ground. there is also arts and craft cabin that they have scheduled events at. water sports probably not open at that time. I know the lake has paddle boats and Kayaks and water skiing and banana boat in the summer. Night time shows for the kids usually dance party and magician. there is a game room and a Wii room. the pool is great has a little water spray park and a regular pool. there is a giant water slide inside. Also outside pool and slide but not sure if it is open in the spring. the food is good. buffet breakfast (but you can order any style eggs or omelet). buffet style lunch and sit down dinner. you can sit alone or with a group usually have to go to dining room first day and get a time/seat assigned to you for dinner only breakfast and lunch is open seating.
