Thanksgiving Ideas
I host Thanksgiving every year since DH and I got married 5 years ago. I feel like I make the same dishes every year and they are my go to because they are "safe". I'd like to make some new dishes and desserts this year. Can you all give me some ideas of what you have? TIA!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with pancetta and pine nuts Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms (mushrooms are marinated in Marsala wine) As for everything else we do traditional dishes and I look forward to eating them even though they are the same every year.

Re: Thanksgiving Ideas
I happened to be watching The Kitchen yesterday and saw a recipe for Jeff Mauro's mom's baked mashed potatoes, they looked incredible so I'm going to try those this year. I also made a Nutella Swirled Pumpkin Pie that was really good so I'm going to make that too instead of regular, plain pumpkin pie.

Do you have a recipe for the mushrooms?

Thanksgiving Ideas
i make this amazing mashed sweet potatoes dish that tastes like a dessert! It's got maple syrup and vanilla in it, and is topped with brown sugar and chopped pecans. I make it every year: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/mashed-sweet-potatoes-with-brown-sugar-and-pecans-15683
I also make a really good mac and cheese with gruyere, fontina, and cheddar cheese. I swear that it is the only mac and cheese recipe I've made where the cheese actually stays gooey- I think it's because of the fontina cheese: http://www.bigoven.com/recipe/three-cheese-mac-cheese-pampered-chef/298259
