Anesthesia
I had surgery done yesterday to remove a mass in my finget. I was out during the surgery but didn't need to be intimated. I left the hospital around 8pm last night after a 2pm surgery. They said I would start to get feeling back in my hand soon. It's been 12 hours and I still gave very little feeling. I called my doctor but he hasn't called back yet. Is this normal?

Re: Anesthesia
I would think it's normal. Everyones body reacts differently.

Re: Anesthesia
The more you move your hand/arm to get the blood flowing, the sooner the feeling should come back.

Anesthesia
I had finger surgery recently, and the full feeling didn't come back for a couple of days. Then it was several weeks the finger to get full feeling back.
ETA, I wasn't out during the surgery, just given a sedative, and my arm from the elbow down had a local.
