Sheen, 50, said he had no clue how he contracted the virus, and claimed it was impossible to have infected any of his myriad sexual partners – yet said he continued having unprotected sex.
His ex Bree Olson is on Stern saying she had no idea - she is just finding this out. They used lambskin condoms which do not prevent the spread of disease. He claimed he was clean.
He also said it's virtually impossible since he almost always used condoms...
The stupid is strong with this one.
oh great. Lambskin. I swear they drill in your head from your first sex ed lesson in school that lambskin condoms are no good

This is also another lesson in the importance of using condoms.
All I ever hear is how "oh my man hates using condoms, I hate using condoms"
Guess what? It's better than the alternative.
Unless you are KNOW for SURE you are both being faithful and are both STD free, condoms should be a must.
I really hope he was using them as he slept around with half of Hollywood.
Yup this 1000%. One of my very good friends contracted HIV from her DH.
You never ever know someones history or what they are hiding.

It's also good that by law you have to be tested when you get pregnant and again towards the end of the pregnancy.
Why do I not remember this with either pregnancy?

I remember having to go back at like 8 months pregnant and the doctor was like- just because you tested negative in the beginning, doesn't mean you can't have picked it up while pregnant.

But yeah I remember having to go twice.

Why do I not remember this with either pregnancy?
It's a NYS Law
It's part of the 100 things they test for when you first get pregnant so that is probably why you don't remember it specifically.
You can decline but then they have to test your baby at birth
If a woman presents for delivery without documentation of a negative HIV test during the current pregnancy and is not known to be HIV-infected, HIV expedited testing must be conducted on the mother with her consent:
If the woman declines expedited testing, the newborn must be tested using the infant’s blood specimen collected at birth. Maternal consent is not required.
Results of expedited testing must be available as soon as possible, preferably within 1 hour, and no longer than 12 hours after the mother’s consent or the infant’s birth if the mother declines testing.

When you go the hospital in labor and they take a zillion vials of blood one of them is usually for HIV. You're also signing a zillion consent forms one of them is for HIV testing.
