Sympathy arrangement
I need to send a sympathy arrangement tomorrow. My friends younger brother ODed on heroin. It will be from a group of us- 5 couples. I don't really know too much about this, but should we do a spray? Or is a vase or basket more appropriate?

Re: Sympathy arrangement
That's so sad. Sorry for your friends loss
Sprays are usually close family. So I say go with a basket. Obviously one of the larger options because there are 5 couples going in on it. Also consider sending an edible arrangement to the house. They will be having a lot of company in and out and it can be something they can put out for them after the funeral.

Sympathy arrangement
I feel like most of the wakes I've been to, the spray arrangements have been from immediate family. If it were me, I would get a basket or a vase. I'm sorry for your friend's loss.

Our friends sent fruit today, I'm in charge of the flowers for tomorrow.

Re: Sympathy arrangement
I would say basket.
For a sudden death and I know the family, I usually give a prayer/sympathy card with money.

I agree with this completely. The cost of a funeral is astronominical and every like bit helps.

Fortunately, I don't think money is a problem. I wound up ordering a beautiful white arrangement from us all. I appreciate everyone's suggestions.
