Thinking about getting this for my 2yo for Christmas.

Any feedback on it?

my son is 5 now... but had the Jr when he was younger. it was good for him from like 2-3 years old. we do a lot of long car trips bc we have no family in the area... so it was a nice, easy thing to hand him in the car to keep him busy. he pretty much just touched the "scout" thing to the pictures to keep hearing the sounds or whatever--- so i didn't teach him to read or anything LOL but like i said, it was a nice thing to hand him in the car or at restaurants to keep him busy. the one thing i didn't like is that it doesn't hold a ton of books on there-- maybe like 4 books. so he would get frustrated if he picked up a book that wasn't downloaded onto the scout thing LOL overall, i would say its worth getting if you do a lot of long car rides, plane trips, or eat in restaurants a lot....

Re: Leapreader JUNIOR

All my dd wanted to do was press the power button on and off and on and off and on and off to hear the dog say her name. She never touched the thing to a book. Why they didn't hide the power button, I don't know. It's not like kids love buttons or anything...

Not worth it in my opinion. My DD also preferred turning the dog on and off to hear her name, and didn't really use it to follow the words at all. She really had no interest. The books aren't that great, you can only have a few loaded at a time.
