Oh trust me I understand. Christmas means a lot to me because it was my mothers favorite time of year. She passed away almost 20 years ago. So Christmas means alot more to me than just lights and presents.

I don't think being excited about and loving Christmas means that someone thinks life is only about that one day and nothing else.

Don't forget, clocks fall back
Ugh. I hate it. HATE IT. And I haven't even really experienced it with kids yet (I'm sure I will in a few hours lol). I hate that it's dark when I leave work. I feel like the day is over and I just want to hibernate. I wish they'd just get rid of it. Ugh I just hate this time of year. So depressing - weather-wise.
Let the SAD (seasonal affective disorder) times begin!

Seriously! I also think it makes life much more fun to have things to look forward to, be it vacations, long weekends, special celebrations, etc. Nothing wrong with looking forward to Christmas or anything else for that matter.

What's wrong with Christmas countdown? Didn't we do that as kids? Not that I'm ready b by any means but to still have that joy ... That's special. To Defriend over a holiday countdown? I have bigger things to do that over.

DST actually just ended. So if you hate when it gets dark early, you actually want them to extend it, not get rid of it.
I both like it and dislike it at different times of the year. I love it over the summer, but then recently it was so dark when I was getting up in the morning (I am out early) that I was happy it ended. It was so much easier to get out of bed this morning with some actual sunlight.
