Anyone have to give their child an injection??
My DD has to start a new medicine that needs to be given once a week by injection. Does anyone have any advice on the best way. The nurse showed us how but it's always best to get advice from anyone and everyone. TIA!!!

Anyone have to give their child an injection??
poor little girl!! I have Turner's Syndrome... so growing up i had to take Growth Hormone shots every day, for about 8 years :-/ wasn't fun. BUT what helped was that my mom got an injection "pen". so like a thing you put the actual syringe in, then push a button. hard to explain... i'll see if i can find a link. it helped bc it helps the needle go in faster, so you don't feel it as much... PLUS, you/ your DD aren't looking at the actual syringe/needle. for the last couple years i was on it, i would actually give it to myself, bc it the pen thing made it pretty easy... also, maybe have her let you tell you where she wants the shot that time (leg vs arm, etc... if thats possible to alternate) GOOD LUCK!!!!
