Wearable blankets/swaddles for small baby

If anyone had a small baby,which brand of wearable swaddle/blanket did you like?

Dd was a really small baby, and every brand I tried seemed to have too much excess fabric that ended up bunching around her shoulders and neck (very close to her mouth).

Based on dd1's birth weight and the fact that my belly is tiny and I haven't put on a single pound in 30 weeks of pregnancy, I'm predicting another peanut...

Well I can tell you what didn't work for us bc dd was in the 90th percentile for height and weight lol. Dd1 we could only use the halo ones. The swaddleme and Aden and anais ones were always too short on her and not big enough. She couldn't even straighten her legs in them

Dd2 was 4 pounds when we brought her home so hopefully you won't deal with that tiny. We got a swaddle me and a halo in preemie sizes. The swaddle me she broke out of constantly so it was pretty useless. The halo worked well but she grew out of it quickly and we moved on to the newborn size. I do recall it shimmying up by her face in the rnp so I moved her back to the bassinet at night and just kept it tight.

I didn't find any swaddle blanket that worked as well as a Aden and Anais blanket swaddled. They have the right amount of give to stretch and are easy to adjust by folding.

Summer Infant Swaddle -- they have a Swaddle Pod which only comes in size newborn and is recommended for 5-10lbs. Not sure if that particular one is sold in stores or if it needs to be ordered online. The next "model" up is a Swaddle Me and that comes in 2-3 different sizes (I think a S/M and L/XL). Highly recommend. Washes very well (make sure you keep velcro closed when washing) and pretty fool proof to get baby in tightly and securely.

My dd actually likes the swaddle up - it's a pod but their arms go up instead of down so they can self soothe. Has been working well for us. She was small, but we started using this swaddle at around 8 lbs. I think it would have worked fine earlier - I just didn't find it earlier. For more traditional swaddle the best one that worked on her when she was smaller was the swaddle pod.
