Hand-me-downs/scented detergent help
I get a TON of hand-me-downs from a family memeber; I love the clothes, they are washed with scented detergent. Even after 5 washes I can still smell the scent. It's not bad, but I don't like scented detergent. Any tips on how to get the scent out? Just keep washing??
TIA

I would soak them in a vinegar/water solution for a few hours and then wash again.

run them though the machine with white vinegar - should take out any scent.

Hand-me-downs/scented detergent help
On my washer I have a presoak cycle which I run with all of dd's clothes since she's so messy. I'd just run that with white vinegar on cold and then run another wash with your soap. I'm the same way I wash everything in free and clear and scented detergent gives me a headache

Re: Hand-me-downs/scented detergent help
You can also try the arm and hammer laundry soap powder (not the detergent). That's good at getting various smells out.
