Where can I get my car seats cleaned?
I am looking for a really good hand car wash and to have the seats in my car cleaned. Any suggestions? We have been procrastinating for 2 years since we couldn't find any place and now we have one dirty car from our kids.

There's a car wash on Sunrise Highway in Oakdale that definitely does car seats.

I will travel to preferably Nassau or Western Suffolk. Although, I would probably go to Montauk at this point if I can find a decent place!

Car seats as in child restraints? If so you need to research how they would clean them first. The harness straps are never to be cleaned with anything stronger then a baby wipe or damp cloth with a very mild soap (think original blue Dawn) and they should never have any chemical wipes used on them (lysol wipes for example)
The seat cover itself will also have explicit instructions for cleaning in the manual. Failure to follow them could lead to the cover being ruined.
Also the plastic seat shell should also not have any harsh chemicals used on it either.
Failure to follow could lead to damage of the seat/harness which could jeopardize the seat integrity and performance in the event of a crash.

Re: Where can I get my car seats cleaned?
At first I read it as car seats as in child car seats- but I think she just means the actually seats in the car- the leather or whatever.
Any good car wash will do this- they have detailing packages that include shampooing the seats or cleaning them with leather cleaner if you have leather seats

Same…
If you did mean the actual carseats I do mine every few months myself. You can usually take off the covers and throw then in the washing machine, then hang dry. I hose down the plastic part. It's a pain putting them back together but they get disgusting so fast, it's really a necessity.

In hosing the seat down you can be jeopardizing the integrity of the seat since they are not ment to have water on them like that. A damp tag, good vacuum and a junk toothbrush works better and is less risk.
And not all covers are allowed to go in the washing machine depending on the material

Re: Where can I get my car seats cleaned?
I did actually mean the seats and upholstery of the actual car. I would remove the child car seats and probably spot clean them the best I can. The actual car seat upholstery has had many bouts of milk and formula spills along with puke over the years so I think I need them steam cleaned or whatever deep cleaning that can be done.
