I'm by no means an expert, but my thought is to try to network locally.
(I.e. I see for example the local mom group for my town always posting jobs....maybe you could send a private message and explain your situation).
In the meantime just type up something basic outlining your experience and I've seen lots of resumes lately with references right on them.
Can you use the people you babysat for?
Any other volunteer experience or organizations you belong to?
