i dont feel confident with my car seat skills
can someone send a pic or some type of insructions (yes ive looked online) for making sure a newborn is safely placed in the carseat?
she seems so tiny in it.
i have the graco click connect 35

I'm not sure a picture would help. I think YouTube may actually be the way to go if you're worried. The key things I can think of are...
- straps should be at or slightly below child's shoulders where it enters into the back of the carseat (this is not the case when they go forward facing, but you have 2 years for that)
- chest clip should go across the chest (this you can Google for an accurate picture)
- straps should be tight. i think the general rule is 2 fingers should be able to fit in, but not more (YouTube a video for this)
- no bulky coats

Are you on fb? Join the group car seat for the littles. You can post a pic and they will tell you if anything is wrong and what to fix.

That's all there is to it! They have a newborn head support that helps... But I find tiny babies look awkward for a month or so.

No 2 fingers!! That's not accurate since the size of fingers differs. You need to be able to pass the "pinch test"
Buckle baby in, gently take out slack from around the hip area, tighten until no slack and be pinched at the collerbone. Move chest clip to correct position.
