Re: What songs or lullabies do you like to sing to your kids?
Each night before bed I sing Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) by Billy Joel to Julian. Literally since he was first born. Now, he just turned two years old, he knows almost every word and he has started singing it WITH ME and it literally melts my heart
We have tons of songs that we sing in general - the above is the staple as he goes to bed. But he loves The Beatles - Yesterday, The Long and Winding Road, Let it Be, Here Comes the Sun, etc. He loves everything by them. He loves John Lennon's solo stuff too. He really likes Sting's voice so I listen to a lot of Sting with him. Lately, he is really into Bob Marley and Stevie Nicks. James Taylor.
Zac Brown and Toby Keith are among the country favorites - asks for Zac! and Toby!! often lol.
He loves music - asks for it all the time.

I used to sing the Billy Joel Lullaby song to DD1. Every single night we sing/read the book "You Are My Sunshine". She now asks for "Sunshine" when it's time for bed.

What songs or lullabies do you like to sing to your kids?
I sing my favorite songs to him. I used to sing Weezer "The World has turned and left me here" every day. "Africa" by Toto (my fav song lol) Also Bayside "I can't go on". They aren't typical baby songs, or happy songs, but I knew all the words and he seemed to like it.
Now I sing "All my loving" by the beatles. Mostly

We started singing You Are My Sunshine every night to all our babies from the time they were born. My boys (5 and 3) have a music/noise machine in their room and for a year or so now, it's been set to play Brahms' Lullaby every night, so we sing that at bedtime. We still sing You Are My Sunshine to our daughter (17 month) each night. Sometimes, she'll need more than one song, and we'll do Brahms' Lullaby, Rockabye Baby, What a Wonderful World, Hush Little Baby, A Bushel and a Peck, or Power of Two (Indigo Girls).

Re: What songs or lullabies do you like to sing to your kids?
DH is really the one that sings. His big one is Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight. It's an oldie and is in the movie Three Men and a Baby. He customizes some off the lyrics for her. I think we sang it to DD daily for her first 18 mos, esp at bedtime and even have it on our phones to calm her down, in the car, etc.
Some others: You are My Sunshine Itsy Bitsy Spider Wheels on the Bus (huge for a while) Head Shoulders Knees and Toes (not sure if this is the actual name) 5 Monkeys

Group 1: 1. Twinkle Twinkle 2. Itsy Bitsy Spider 3. You are My Sunshine
Group 2:
Some where Out there!!
Group 2 has been her favorite one to sing. My husband also sings along with us.

Oh there are so many beautiful Toby songs. He's such an amazing song writer and his stuff that isn't hyped like red solo cup (which is fun, don't get me wrong) but his OTHER stuff is what I truly love...
White Rose Heart to Heart (a song he wrote for his son) American Soldier My List Dream Walking (a quote from this song is on my son's wall in his nursery)
Heart to Heart makes me cry
