Where to go?

Initially DH said we weren't going to go away for our anniversary because we're taking the kids to Hershey Park the following weekend. Now he says, let's go somewhere. The kicker is, it's in two weeks and it Columbus Day weekend. We want to go Saturday to Monday. We wanted to go to Minerals but all they have left is the presidential suite and it's almost $1,100 just for the room and I just can't rationalize that. I already looked into Newport, Foxwoods, and Saybrook Point Inn and they're either booked or also over $1,000. Any other suggestions for specific resorts? We would like something with a nice pool area (if possible), restaurants and some type of nightlife either on property or close by, and we would like to golf one day too. And under two hours

Edit- I actually wound up renting a townhouse at Minerals directly from an owner. It only cost $450 for the two nights. The downside is we will have to pay a guest fee to use the pool, but it's still a lot cheaper then getting a hotel room. Thanks anyway :)

Re: Where to go?

Did you try Mohegan Sun as well as Foxwoods?

How did you do this and what's the guest fee if you don't mind my asking?
