Alaska/Hawaiian Cruise
DH and I are celebrating our 10-year anniversary next year and looking to celebrate with a cruise to either Alaska or Hawaii.
We got quotes from a travel agent and I wanted to get people's experiences of what they have done (or heard).
Alaska Land & Cruise 1: - Celebrity Millennium - Anchorage to Vancouver - Ports in Anchorage, Denali, Talkeetna, Seward, Hubbarb Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait, Ketchikan, Inside Passage, Vancouver
Alaska Land & Cruise 2: - Island Princess - Fairbanks to Vancouver - Ports in Fairbanks, Denali, Whittier, Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Vancouver
Hawaii Cruise: - Pride of America - Honolulu, Kahului, Hilo, Kona, Nawiliwili, Kauai

I didn't cruise to Alaska, we flew into Anchorage and stayed there but we did a day trip out to Seward. It was amazing and we talk about going back again.

Re: Alaska/Hawaiian Cruise
For those that did the Alaska cruise, with the two listed, what would you recommend? Does one have a better port of call than the other?

I've never done the cruise. But my daughter lives in Fairbanks and I've been there quite a few times. And honestly, there isn't much to do.
Anchorage is a much bigger city and would have more to see/do. So I would look into that before booking.
Alaska is absolutely beautiful. One of these days I will do the cruise If you get a chance to see it. You should absolutely go.
ETA: When will you be going?

If the ships are similar I would go with the first itinerary for The inside passage.

Almost all of the ports are teeny tiny little towns, with not a lot going on. It's the excursions that (for me anyway) were the most memorable and amazing. (I would highly recommend the helicopter ride to a glacier and then dog sledding on the glacier - such an unforgettable experience!). As the pp mentioned, I would pick the 1st itinerary for the inside passage, since I would think most excursions (or very similar ones) would be available from either ship
