I've been buying the Alex craft kits on Amazon. They come organized and have lots fun options and aren't too expensive.

ARTS AND CRAFTS- For the Preschool Set
My DD is 4 and she does arts and crafts all day long. It's her favorite thing to do. I look on pinterest for ideas but she does a lot on her own too. She draws, colors, makes things with pipe cleaners and googly eyes, paints, play doh, traces her hands and tapes them together, uses stamps and stickers. I recently picked up a few Halloween crafts from the dollar section at Target and she's been doing some of those.

I was going to suggest these too. They're great if you're not super creative since they come with everything including directions!
Dd also loves watercolor painting. I give her that with either blank paper or the big coloring pages from Melissa and Doug.

DD (4.5) loves the Alex crafts. She also loves to paint with water colors. Lately, she is really into cutting and gluing, so we make collages. I've had her go through magazines/circulars and cut out some of her favorite things -- animals, toys, etc. -- and glue them on construction paper.

Great ideas ladies thank you!!! I will look into the Alex Crafts as I am completely not creative.. like at all! Even if I buy all types of crafting items I never know what to do with them so sets are ideal! The collage idea is great because my daughter loves to cut and paste also and I have a ton of magazines I have no idea what to do with!
What brand of water colors do you recommend? and what do you use to store the paint in while they are painting?
