We stayed at the courtyard langhorne. Down the block from sesame and about a half hour from philly. They had a free shuttle to sesame which saves on parking. There are so many restaurants by sesame. Basically anything you can think of. They really built it up so nice over there.
In philly the please touch museum is a must. So much fun!

Need recommendations for Philly
We stayed at Springhill suites across from Sesame. It was very convenient. I also considered Sheraton by sesame and Hampton Inn in Bensalem. (Didn't stay at them, but maybe another visit).
I would try to do a character dine. We did lunch and had fun. Food wasn't fabulous, but it was ok. DD wouldn't even eat because she was too excited about the characters and the dancing. I think next time, I'll bring a little container for her food. I didn't think to ask if they could wrap it for me.
They have photographers for character meetings and sell something called photokey. You can buy for 1 day or for annual. I got a lot of misinformation about this. I had all my pics taken, giving the photographer my card, thinking I could see the pics and buy the photokey online, only to read the card in my hotel and it said pictures only available today! The photokey card is different and, at least when I was there in August, they said I had to do it in the park. It's sold on the website too (for less money), so Idk how that works, but the park staff had to move all my pics from the card account I had to the photokey card account. So, my pics were still available the next day, but Idk if I could have gotten them if I wasn't returning to the park. Make a little note of what time you saw each character so they can search for your pics if they don't show up in your account. The photographer needs to take a clear pic of your card for the pics to get to your account. This was a problem with almost all our night pictures. I was told the character dine photo would not be on the card, but it's one of the photos they found and moved to the card for me at the photo stand. So, a lot about pics, lol, but we bought sesame annual passes, so it was worth it for me to buy an annual photokey.
