Any tips for dealing with a slow moving child?

My 5yo is a take-your-time, stop-and-smell-the-roses kind of kid. I love that about him. However, it can make things very difficult when we are trying to get somewhere on time. Mornings on tough on him. He has a hard time getting out of bed most mornings. He moves very slowly through the getting ready process. He is in kindergarten now and when it comes to drop off, we pull the car up in the line, and a staff member comes and opens the car door, and the child is supposed to unbuckle themselves, climb out, and then go with the staff member. Obviously, this process needs to move at a good pace to keep traffic flowing. We try to go into him a few minutes early in the morning, so he has some time to lounge in bed/stretch/wake up. We try to make sure he gets to bed at a good time. We have all his stuff ready the night before- lunch made, bag packed, clothes laid out. In the drop off line, we try to prep him as we pull in, so he can start opening up his buckle and be aware that his turn is coming soon. I don't ever want him to feel he's being rushed, but at the same time, we have to keep things moving. Anyone else deal with this and have any ideas that work for you and your child?

Regarding the buckle in line what I did was - While we were waiting in line I hopped out of the car and unbuckled him so that way he would hop out quicker.
Maybe to speed up the processes in the morning - get a timer and say when the bell goes off time to move to the next thing.

This is so my daughter. She's 2.5 and the slowest moving child ever. It takes me about a half hour to pick her up from daycare. It's so frustrating! I can't even run errands in the same shopping center because it takes her like 15 minutes to walk from one store to another.

This morning for the first day back at daycare, I made a picture chart with photos of a toilet, toothbrush, clothes, sneakers, and Cheerios box. She got to say what was next and earned a sticker after each item for the chart. Day 1 went really really well. She didn't need constant nagging, moved from one thing to the next independently, and liked the stickers. She knows she will get a present this weekend for all stickers.
