2 year old scared of the bath! Help!!!
My 2 yr old DD is all of a sudden petrified of the bath. This is the child that has looooved her bath time since birth... Splashing, playing, singing, etc. we never had a problem putting water over her head- she laughed! Once in a while we would take down the shower head and rinse her and she was fine with that too.
Then a few days ago she was at her grandmas house and there was no bathtub, just a shower stall. My mom tried to shower her and she freaked out. Now she is scared of our bathtub and refuses to go in. I even tried to get into the tub with her to show her that's it's fine but she clings to me & screams. I asked her what she's afraid of but she just cries. This has been going on now for almost a week. Any advice?

My Twins were the same way around that age. They loved the bath then all of a sudden hated it. Screamed, cried, tried to climb out. I think it lasted about 6 months then they outgrew it and they loved the bath and shower again. DD was worse than DS. Good luck!!

I went through this. It lasted for awhile and slowly she limes baths again. I started to shower her while she cries the whole time just to make the process quicker.
then i started buying new bath toys like squirters, bath crayons and a swimming fish. Slowly she fell back in love with it. She still hates washing her hair but its gotten better.

I was going to say to try getting new bath toys and bubbles. That really helped to get DD to like bath time.

Try giving her different toys that she doesn't usually play with in the bath. My dd is nervous the shower will go on, especially when I try to bathe her and ds together and he is always playing with the little pull that turns the water from bath to shower. Maybe cover the shower nozzle with a towel or something so she knows the water will not come out of the shower.
