Snorting sounds in a TODDLER
Hi- strange question- for a week + my 3 year old has been make "snorting" sounds while eating. I've only really noticed it during meals but it's constant. Sounds like a pig's snort. Honestly. I don't think he notices and I haven't drawn attention to it. Not sure if it's a tic? Something more serious? He's been sleepy lately but otherwise fine. No snoring at night that i've noticed, but I haven't slept in his room. He has low oral motor tone as well if that makes any difference. Thoughts?? Thanks!! I plan to call my dr. tuesday as the office is probably emergencies only tom.

I would call the doctor and leave a message with the service or in call doctor and let them determine if they want to see him today. I am a huge advocate of erring on the side of caution and dd pediatrician encourages it.
