2yr Ped. Appointment
DD went today and thankfully everything is fine but she has had these bumps on her upper forearms that we weren't sure what they were. Doctor said its hyperkeratosis pilaris, completely harmless but he said it might never go away...we want to bring her to a derm to see if there is anything we can put on it. Does anyone's DC have this?

What is that? He said its hyperkeratosis pilaris and after googling it, it's exactly what it describes.

2yr Ped. Appointment
Go to the dermatologist. I love my PED but kids get so many things that look similar and vary in seriousness level.he once told Me these bumps that my DD had would need surgery. When we went to the dermatologist it turned out to be molloscum! So not serious and will go away on its own!

I have those bumps on my upper arms as long as I can remember. Never bothered me so I don't even think I've ever thought to bring them up to the doctor. DD had molloscum which are much bigger and have a small indent at the center, what I have are tiny white or pink spots that look more like a patch of dry skin.

Re: 2yr Ped. Appointment
I have it on the back of my upper arms. Have had it as long as I can remember, and my dad has it, too. I've never thought about treating it because it doesn't bother me and I typically don't really care what the back of my arms look like lol
