Flu shot while nursing
Safe to get? Just get the Mercury free one?
Does baby benefit from the nursing mom getting the flu shot passing on antibodies?

Flu shot while nursing
When dd1 was a baby her ped gave me a flu shot at her 4 month appointment since she was obviously too young. I'm not sure if it passed on any antibodies but obviously keeping you healthy is a good thing.

Get it. Antibodies will be passed into the baby.

I got it when I was EBF my twins when they were too young to get it themselves. I would definitely get it!

I would tell them you want the preservative/thimerosal free shot. They will probably opt for it anyway when you circle yes for pregnant/nursing.
