Free/discounted mammogram screening for people uninsured
Does anyone have any info on a facility or dr that can provide affordable mammo/sono screenings for people who are uninsured?

Zwanger does them free. Used to be just on Sundays, but they do them everyday. At least at the Stony Brook location. Call and ask about "Give back Sundays". You need an RX

FYI, not all Zwangers do free imaging, but the ones that do offer the program will do them everyday. If I remember correctly, 2 of the locations are Bay Shore and Patchogue. Your dr. needs to write "no insurance give back sundays" on your script. You are supposed to show you make less than 40g/yr too but from what patients have said they don't make you show any paperwork aside from your photo ID.
