I hear you! I hate summer. I just don't feel well in such heat.
However, I hope it stays a bit hotter for a few more weeks because I'll be on Long Island in 2 days and I really want to go to the beach. Lake swimming just doesn't compare to the beach at all  .
Then, hopefully it's cold when I get back in 2 weeks, lol.
That being said, I'm not a huge pumpkin fan. I like it steamed or roasted or in a soup or in a ravioli, but that pumpkin pie can go right in the garbage!

I love the summer but I can't lie I'm sooo excited for the fall. It's the first fall in our new home and I just bought some awesome fall decorations!!

That is me too!! I feel like a slug in the summer. I hate dragging the kids around in the heat, running errands is such a headache when you're melting, sitting in the yard and baking is not my thing...........I'm just not built for summer. 
I feel SO much more energetic and motivated in the fall. The cool air is invigorating, I love having the windows open and feeling the breeze through the house. I get more done and I am so much happier in the fall. Summer wears me down, I barely make it out of August.

AUTUMN if I'm feeling fancy LOL! 
Anyway, yeah I love the vineyards during the fall, baking apple pies, going to fall festivals, and all that stuff. It's just a great time of year - that first little chill in the air.
My son's birthday is in September, which is fitting because it is my favorite month.

Like if we had 2 months of cold, then a few months of warmish, then summer.
Yes! If it turned to spring immediately following New Year's, I'd be totally fine with it. I have no use for the cold once the holidays are over.

Yes, a slug. That accurately describes it. I "work from home" end of July, August, and September and I haven't gotten nearly as much work as I'd like because it's so damn hot (I don't have a/c).
To be honest, one reason we left Australia is because we didn't like the weather. People look at us like we are crazy here when they find where we moved from. I just love fall/ winter so much, I really missed it when I lived there (mild winters there). Xmas with a BBQ, beach, and pool is just not the same!

I give you credit, I would NOT survive the heat without a/c........I'm such a big baby!!
ITA with you too, we lived in FL for 4 yrs and there is NOTHING festive about putting up a Xmas tree when it's 85 degrees out. The holidays just feel all wrong when it's not cold.

Oh I'm fine. It's still 90 degrees and humid. And we are forecast for an unseasonable warm Sept.
Pool will remain open.
Going to the beach this weekend.

This is my mantra! I still have no idea why I live in the North East. I am much better suited for summer weather all year round maybe not humid, but between 80 and 90 is my happy place.

I agree and it doesn't start to get cooler until October so we have most of May, June, July, August and September. Not sure why everyone always wants to rush things. The years go by so fast anyway.

This May it was chilly. I was wearing a sweatshirt to breakfast on Memorial Day weekend.
As in, not beach weather. As in I open my pool Memorial Day weekend adn can't swim unless I heat the crap out of it for hours a day.
When I say summer I mean HOT.
Like July and August.
Like today.
Not 70 degrees as a high.
Warm nights where it doesn't drop so cold that
Hot weather- that is summer.
It's the shortest season

I love the fall, but I am not ready for summer to be over yet! Summer is my favorite time of year, I love the warm weather, the beach, the sun, the clothes, sandals, etc.!
Summer is too short, stop rushing it! It's like having Christmas decorations up before we've even gotten to Halloween!!!
Plus, the thought of putting on sweaters or boots is just not very appealing when we're in the middle of a heat wave.

I hate summer with a burning passion. I'd rather be shoveling snow than walking around in 90 degrees with humidity.
