Why does it have to be an honest mistake or crimanl? Can't it be both. I am sure it was a mistake, but that still may be child endangerment.
What I'm surprised at is that she said:
"And I never took my other kids out of the car, so it wasn't like I knew I left him. I thought the whole time he was in my car. "
so, she left her other kids in the car while she was in the store? Isn't that also child endangerment.
She honestly just doesn't sound like the brightest bulb, and then on top of that is probably exhausted.
Or I guess it could have been a PPD moment, and then she thought better of it. It's odd that the 3 year old didn't say anything until they were almost home.
I think she means in the house as she said the 3 yr. old realized the baby was not there when they pulled in their driveway.

I don't know. I've been exhausted and distracted at times BUT not enough where I could forget my children. NOTHING could distract me enough to FORGET them!!! As a parent you have a responsibility to protect and watch over your children......................AT ALL TIMES. There really is no excuse for what happened, you don't get to make this type of mistake because the consequences are just too great.
... My kids are the FIRST and MOST important thing on my mind...............ALWAYS. Before worrying about anything else around me I make sure I have my kids safely with me AT ALL TIMES.
Please make no mistake. I don't think there's a mom on this thread that doesn't feel this way.
