Which Universal park for a 6 and 3 yr old?
6 yr old DS LOVES super heroes so i was thinking just IOA this trip since we only have 1 day to go. But would 3 yr old DD enjoy that park? Or would you skip Universal with kids this age and do another park? If so, please suggest which non Disney park you would do (already doing disney and we'll have a car).

LEGOLAND is not too far and it is for children 12 and younger (and I think 12 is pushing it - not many rides for them). Very younger child oriented.

Islands of Adventure has the Dr. Seuss area, which is great. But, there are a lot of height requirements, so I would check to even see if your 3 year old meets those.

With a 3 & 6 yo I would look into Legoland unless you are also Harry Potter fans. Depending on the crowd level you may be able to do both Universal parks in one day. With a park hopper you can take the train from IA to US as part of the Harry Potter experience. Your 3yo will not be able to go on everything. Some of the attractions are too intense for some 6yo. Most of the big attractions are 3D simulators. They do have child swap. The Dr Sues area is cute and toon town area is like stepping into an old comic strip. They have a superhero parade at night that your son would probably enjoy. We didn't see any superhero characters but we really weren't looking for them.

IOA has the Dr Seuss area which your 3yo should enjoy.
We have never been but going in October with our 4yo and 6yo boys. IOA also has this Jurassic area with a big play area. We plan to let our kids run around there for a bit.
eta: our friends got back recently and their 6yo is also obsessed with super heroes. They loved the marvel area. My kids are not as into them but they like Harry Potter (after I exposed them for this trip). I am the Harry Potter fan in our household.

We brought my 3.5 year old to IOA, she loved it. They had a good amount for her to do there. you have to be 42 inches for the bigger rides, but the rides that she could go on took up a good portion of the day. I would totally go back.
