There are a lot of internal bus stops there, so I would give yourself an hour at least. If you just miss the bus, you will be waiting, then all the stops, then the ride to the MK itself is like 10 minutes.
We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter so we had no internal bus stops thankfully.

Re: anyone stay at port orleans riverside?
Depends on the stop you get on. We never went around the resort either time we stayed. We went straight to the parks. Coming back we made more than one stop. If you go to portorleans.org they have lots of tips on the buses. I always gave myself an hour from anywhere. No matter if you have stops or not....if the bus is full or you just miss it you have to wait either way. Now they have screens which give times for the next bus etc.

Re: anyone stay at port orleans riverside?
We left later than I wanted this morning and were at the bus stop at 8 for a 9 am park opening. It got packed quickly and it's basically first come first serve at the bus stop.
We got on, but it was a charter so no standing....the rest of the people had to wait for another bus.
We made it to the park by 8:25, quickly had my bag checked and then the welcome show started and park opened around 8:45.
The busses back from the parks have been crowded and standing only. We just left MK to take a break and the bus ride was the most miserable part. A lot of the kids were crying and all the parents were obviously feeling no magic.

so are you saying you got in line for the bus at 8 and arrived in magic kingdom by 8:25? that is not bad at all. 25 min is better than the 1 hour I've been hearing about.
the bus back sounds miserable though. how do the toddlers stand and stuff?

If there is no room to sit, you can just opt to stay in line and take the next bus. Kids stand and hold the poles. Not ideal at all. Sometimes adults give up their seats for little ones, but I wouldn't count on it.

Re: anyone stay at port orleans riverside?
The past 3 days I have seen people with super young kids like toddlers and babies sitting, but overall it's everyone standing.
I have to say though that overall it's been a good experience. No one is really rude and I know we are here at a lower volume time of year but it seems so organized and it still looks like a lot of people to me.
I only had one weird issue today and I didn't make a big deal. A single rider climbed in to the barnstormer ride with me which is tiny to begin with. She was super overweight and had like 3 bags and ended up partially on my lap. I got the impression she had other issues going on upstairs so didn't want to say anything.
DH and I actually laughed about it later and he kept asking if she was following me to the next ride....

Re: anyone stay at port orleans riverside?
We went this past April, and the ride was about 30 minutes. We were at the North Depot, and the bus stopped at every depot at our hotel, plus the depots at POFQ before heading to the parks.
