Show me your cake smash cake - for a girl
My cake smash cake did not work out. I have just enough time to get it from a bakery and am rethinking design. Please show me cake pics!

Don't have pic on this iPad but if you Google "pink ombre rosette cake" you'll get an idea of what it looked like. Looked awesome in photos.

I love those. We had one for DD1 and was going to get one for DD2. But, we needed to switch bakeries for DD2's allergies and I decided to give her a different cake design too.

My daughter has allergies too--the cake was dairy free/egg free. It tasted disgusting & the cake part was stiff as a board but at least it looked good in the photos. I called a lot of bakeries and only 1 said they would do it. Which bakery are you using so I can keep it in mind next time we need special cake for her?

My photographer supplied it. She never mentioned where it was from.

My DD is Dairy free and soy free...we are doing soy-free smash cake, and not planning to let her eat the cake. My older DD smashed her cake and did not want to eat it. DD1 needed a Vegan cake - we got it at whole foods and it was really pretty and tasted good. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them any more. The last couple cakes from them haven't looked nice. And, much worse, the ingredient stickers they show you for the cakes are not always correct.

Thanks for the info. My DD barely touched the cake--just poked at it a little. I just didn't want to take chances with the milk/eggs in case she did decide to eat it or lick her hands. She also has contact allergy for peanuts so didn't want to chance it with her being covered in eggs/milk. Hate allergies!
Good luck with the smash!
