Disney During Christmas Time
Hello,
We have become obsessed with Disney. Never thought I would be, but we just love to vacation there. We have gone the past 2 years and just booked for Dec 2016 because that will be our last trip down there for a couple years, and figured we would check it out during Christmas time.
Anyone been during Christmas Time? I am really excited to see all of the decorations etc... We have been to all parks, so which would you say are the best for that time of year, we will not be doing all of them?
Also, I assume it will be too chilly for swimming, so what activities would you recc on off park days? I know Downtown Disney, but any others?
Just to add we do not stay on property, we use a timeshare every year to go, and stay off property, so if you recc off park day activities we will not be on Disney Property for that.
Thanks!

Disney During Christmas Time
We went a couple of years ago December for a long weekend (Friday to Tuesday). It was hot, 80 out. Swam everyday. The parks were not packed, and it was beautifully decorated. I don't know that I would go during Christmas break though. Not sure if that's what you are asking. I would def. do Hollywood Studios to see the Osbourne Lights, the MK, and Epcot. I would skip AK

Disney During Christmas Time
I am going this December the first week (Thur-Mon). This is the first time we are going for the holidays too. We are doing MK, Epcot and Hollywood one each day. You also have to book all the night activities in advance. I can give you a review when we get back.

We went first week of Dec and it was amazing!!!! Crowds were not bad at all, some rides we walked on or 10 min wait. Everything is decorated, our favorite was Hollywood Studios. They have the Osbourne Family light show and it was something you should not miss going to.
It was hot enough where we wore shorts or jeans with a t-shirt but one day we tried doing the pool and it was freezing.

This exactly! I loved seeing all the Christmas decorations and since it was right after Thanksgiving, there was no one there. It was perfect. I'd definitely go back at that time. Enjoy!

Disney During Christmas Time
I LOVE Disney at Christmas time. DD's b-day is at the beginning of the month, so we typically go the first week. My absolute favorite thing is the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. A celebrity narrates the story of Jesus, with a choir singing various songs. It is AMAZING! Last year I got to go for Whoppi Goldberg. Her amazing spirit made it even more memorable. If I lived in Florida I would go every year just for that.

Re: Disney During Christmas Time
Xmas time in Disney is my FAVORITE!!!! It's just stunning and so festive. It's usually not super hot and if you go between Thanksgiving and Xmas it's usually not very crowded either. My favorite has always been the Osbourne Family Lights at Hollywood Studios, it's just awesome so don't miss that!! Just be aware, once Xmas hits you really don't want to be anywhere near the parks. Between Xmas and New Years are some of the WORST crowds. It's like wall to wall people and lines that are miles long, it's really not enjoyable in the least.
