Toddler sleeping on the floor
We're having a lot of sleep issues with DS2, who is 22 months. We are finally doing CIO because it was the only option left. He is improving as far as time spent crying each night, but he's refusing to sleep in his bed and falls asleep on the floor every night. Is this bad for him?

Re: Toddler sleeping on the floor
It's fine. DS1 did the same thing. He's 6 now and had been sleeping in his bed for 3 - 4 years now. As long as he's getting a good night sleep and you're getting a good night sleep then that's all that matters. He was going through a phase sleeping on my floor from about 2 yrs old to 3.5 some nights in the middle of the night. I started keeping a pillow and blanket on the couch in our room for him.
Like I said... He's 6 and sleeps great all night in his room. It's a phase. Give it time and he'll get it. DS2 was never like that and always slept fine. Funny how kids are so different.

Re: Toddler sleeping on the floor
My cousins son did that for about a year. He had eventually agreed to sleep on an area rug so it was a little more cushiony. But eventually he went into his bed!
