1 year old food
What are some things you make and give to a 1 year old. How much a portion do you give. What's your feeding schedule like?

Re: 1 year old food
At 1 year old DS ate whatever we ate, the same times we ate. He also had about 2 snacks a day, sometimes more (he's a big snacker!). The portion was as much as he wanted.

At that age I would cut up whatever we were having real tiny. With that being said, they also still enjoyed the stage 3 foods & the pouches so we did those sometimes. Some favorites that I can remember- baby mum mums, gerber puffs, sliced banana, cut up strawberries, cucumber, even tomatoes they loved.

DS has been eating whatever we eat since he was 9-10 months old. His favorite foods: yogurt, bananas, berries, Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, eggplant parm, quesadillas, olives, beans (kidney and navy), chop meat, grilled chicken
"Baby foods" he likes: veggie pouches, Cheerios, and mums mums.

We did baby led weaning from 6 months old so she's pretty much always eaten whatever we've eaten. I don't make a separate meal for her. Ain't nobody got time for that lol.

Ds is 9 months and this is where we are at. We had meatballs last night so that's what he ate. He is a BIG eater, loves yogurt, bananas, etc. he eats more than any other baby I've ever witnessed.

Re: 1 year old food
Ds eats whatever we eat (except anything with nuts or shell fish). he eats A LOT! i let him decide when he is done...he starts to throw food on the floor which is his way to tell us he is done. There are days he will eat a bowl of pasta, some fruit and when I take him out of his high chair he will run over to his siters high chair and grab the food off of it and eat it.
i give him a "snack" (cheerios, crackers, fruit) once a day

DS is 15 months, but has been doing these things for a while.
As for portion sizes, I just give him food and let him decide. When he's done, he usually says "all done." Sometimes, however, he says this after one bite and then I need to encourage him to eat more. If he is resistant, then I'll usually offer him a veggie or yogurt pouch, which hell usually gulp down in a few minutes. Overall, he's a good eater.
On daycare days, he follows this schedule: 6 am - nurses; I give him some Cheerios/fruit so I can eat my breakfast 8-8:30 am - breakfast 11:30-12 - lunch 2:30-3 pm - snack 4:45 pm - nurses; sometimes has another snack... 6 pm - dinner 7:20 pm - nurses
On the weekends, I follow a similar schedule, but I am definitely flexibe. He nurses 1-2 additional times.
