Lake George
Planning to take a long weekend with DH to Lake George. Any hotels that you would recommend, restaurants?

I've been there every year since 2009, have stayed in 5 different places and my favorite was Surfside on the Lake.

Just got back this wed. We stayed at melody manor in Bolton landing. Amazing views. Clean room. Spacious. We loved it

Adirondack Brew Pub has great food. We love the Algonquin for dinner on the lake. Log Jam also has amazing food, but they're a little further outside of the village.

America's Best Value Inn. New renovation in 2014 and clean non musty rooms. Nice amenities on site, huge grounds.
Breakfast at the White Lion at Fort William Henry is nice. Opens at 7am

THis is where we stay and we love it!
The ADK brewery is great, live music, good beer, etc.
Also in bolton landing there is bolton beans an adorable place in an old train car. Food was really good, great for breakfast or lunch!

We did eat at Audies and Ina's country diner in Bolton Landing. The best breakfast I have ever had. Egg sandwich with the most amazing home fries.
We also ate at Lakeside bar and grille. This was the best dinner we had. The service wasn't all that great as they brought out he kids food last. We were kinds shocked but the best food by far.
We didn't like the huddle. Food was eh. and we didn't love Cate's Italian. I thought the food was bland as did my husband, but my inlaws seemed to like it. Cate's Pizza side was great. The pizza was awesome.
For lunches we went to Neuffer's deli. they are a reg boar's head deli. Busy but they have service down pat lol
