Please Help me plan a last minute family road trip!
For various reasons we didn't plan ahead his year. We have about 3 or 4 nights free next week to plan something. I have a 5yo ds who doesn't care what we do as long as something involves animals or dinosaurs. We want to drive, 4 or 5 hours tops. We've already done dutch, cherry crest, Strasburg RR, hershey, mystic, Dino place in ct, crayola, Philly children's museum. Anyone have any new ideas that fit the bill??? Was thinking maybe Dorney because of Dino part and snoopy part but not sure what else to do. The nicest Pocono resorts are booked, eden too. Help!!!!!

Cape May has an AMAZING free zoo. It's huge, has tons of animals, paths to walk, petting zoo, carousel, train ride and play ground.
You can stay in Cape May or Wildwood/Diamond Beach
If you stay in Wildwood you can go to the waterpark and the amusement park on the boardwalk which is great for kids too
You can also do dolphin seeing tours etc
We just got back and it was a GREAT trip for my 5 year old DD

Hotel Icona was FABULOUS- in Diamond Beach. Hotel Icona All rooms are suites with full kitchens. Brand new and clean. Private beach.
But it's a splurge in terms of money. If you do Trip Advisor for Wildwood, there are TONS and TONS of hotels in the area. Cape May as well. Some are kinda shabby but some get good reviews and are more renovated

If you stay in Wildwood, I would go for the Starlux. Updated (retro themed), clean, and across from the beach.

I passed that! I couldn't believe how 1950s it looked so I looked it up on Trip Advisor and it looked super cute with the theme. It got great reviews
