Has airfaire gone up overall within the last 2 years?
We haven't gone away internationally in 2 years. I was checking flights and can't believe how expensive the airfare to the Caribbean was for Nov. (not Thanksgiving).
Where does everyone find the best deals? We are NJ, but will fly out of JFK or LGA if it is cheaper than Newark, which a lot of times it is.

DH got great prices last year our of LaGuardia and opened a United card when we went to Aruba. You can call him and ask. He's really good with doing the research and getting the best price. My ticket was free with miles from the CC.
Just left the car at the Parking Spot and they were awesome and also had a coupon for that.
I can't believe you're planning a vacation with everything going on! You are superwoman!!

Check Philadelphia as well - we found cheaper flights there for an upcoming trip to Ohio (it was $400 pp from NY and $200 from Philly)

Yes I agree about prices! And the price of gas has dropped, but I'm sure the airlines will blame operating costs.
Was just discussing this the other day with a friend and we said wouldn't it be nice if everyone started boycotting till prices dropped. Nice thought lol.

Yes. Airfare has gone up across the board. I never used to pay more than $79 each way to Orlando and now I'm lucky if I can find it for under $100.
If you don't mind the long drive, you can save quite a bit if you fly out of Philly.
JetBlue often has the best rates for the Caribbean.
A lot of the packages I book for clients have airfare at a lower rate since the tour operators buy out a block of seats.
