where to find good quality used umbrella strollers?
Looking to purchase a used umbrella stroller. Would like to get a good quality one (maclaren, g-lite, g-luxe) but don't want to pay a lot of money - our last umbrella stroller was one from target and it broke down little by little starting pretty much the day after we bought it - and it wasn't even that cheap!!!
As it is, my 3 year old son doesn't particularly love being in the stroller, but sometimes it is a necessity. I just don't want to spend a small fortune for something he isn't going to use a lot or for that much longer.
That being said, what is the best place to find a cheap, used, good condition, good quality stroller that doesn't have to be in perfect condition appearance-wise (just want it to work well function-wise)? I have been scouring garage sales but haven't found any. What about Once Upon a Child or whatever it's called? Are those prices pretty good? I guess I could check Craigslist, but I never have luck on there for anything lol...

Consignment sales would be your best bet -- like you said, Once Upon a Child might have one. They are usually pretty good about telling you what they currently have in stock so you don't have to waste a trip. Chicken Kids and Kidz Kloset are 2 HUGE consignment sales here on LI -- they hold a Nassau event and a Suffolk event twice a year -- Google for more info! Not sure how quickly you need the stroller but there is an event coming up in Nassau at the end of September. Finally, if you belong to a Facebook group for your town, many times people are selling things on there. Good luck!

Are you a Facebook user? Join the local buy/sell groups and post what you're in search of. There are thousands of people in the groups so you're sure to get responses. I always see strollers on there.

Thank you! I don't do Facebook, so never thought of that. Will have to ask my sister to check it out for me! LOL!
Also curious to check out those consignment sales that were mentioned when they come around...
