For those of you that had your DC's party and California Pizza Kitchen

Did your kids and their guests have a good time? What was included? I'm trying to get my husband on board with it only because he would rather have an afternoon party than an early party. I know CPK starts their parties at 10:00 and DH just doesn't want an early party. I heard the parties are $10.00 a kid which is awesome since we are inviting about 30 kids. I'm going to go down there in a couple of weeks to talk to them but id like to know if the kids had fun and if you yourself were happy with the party? It would be for my twins' 5th birthday party. TIA!

We had my daughters 5th Bday there and everyone had a great time! We had about 27 kids so the price was perfect. I wasn't thrilled with the early start time either but honestly no one else cared and we're happy to be home so early so they had the rest of the day to do whatever. The kids loved getting a tour of the kitchen and making their own pizzas. The time wAsnt a big deal in the end

I havent been either but we prefer early parties so that we have the rest of the day to ourselves. I hate midday and late parties.

Thanks everyone! I told DH yesterday that we were having it there end of story and he just said "on" I think he knows there is no point in arguing it with me lol. For the price you can't beat it. I'm going down there in a couple of weeks to talk to them and book it.

I have and it is the best party as well As economical. I have posted on this before so please search for my answer.

I will say it is definately the cheapest remember Costco sell $100 for $80 gift cards to CPK so you stock up on those and you save even more money...

Highly recommend it... Try to get your husband to budge. It's only 1.5 hrs..

We just booked for the end of September. I'm going to pick up some pizza themed games for down time during party.

I was told $10/kid. Adults food ordered from the catering menu. Drinks for adults full price per drink. While it is a good value for kids the adult food will probably cost more than kids. Includes tour of kitchen chef hats for kids to color and make own pizza.

I got gift cards from Costco $80 for $100

I had a terrible experience there for my dd's party 2 years ago BUT i will say I have been to a party there since then and it was so much better! Our party was not cheap by any means bc we had to get food for the adults. I don't mind the start time at all. I prefer earlier parties so I wouldnt worry about that!

I wanted to add bc you said you were having a lot of kids - one of my gripes about this party is that it is not really a "play place" and the kids get ancetsy after they make the pizza and are just sitting there. The resturant opens at 11 so I was pretty stressed about all the kids kinda running around and making noise when there was customers now coming in and sitting down. Actually, one of the things that made our experience not great was bc the manager kept telling me the kids had to stop running and quiet down. and we only had about 15 kids

my nephew had his 5th birthday there. i didnt mind the 10am start at all. but i agree with Aries...once the pizza making was done there was nothing for them to do. adults didn't really have "fun" cause we were just standing around. i think at that age the kids like more of a bounce house type of place.

the only down fall was the food for adults as you will read in the above I just decided not to feed them a lot of food and it worked out fine.

ETA: there was not that much down time I stressed about that too! but really by the time the kitchen tour was done and all the kids picked out their drinks the pizza started coming out and than I did cupcakes and then the sundaes came out. I also heard some of them actually let the kids make the sundaes.

I would bring an activity if you are afraid of down time. Color your own chef hat's would be cute.
