If you've been to Hershey Park, does this sound like a good plan?
Going for 1 night (can't do longer) with 2 kids.
Day 1: planning on getting to PA around noon or so. Have lunch, check out The Lodge and any things to do there. Go to Chocolate World for about a couple of hrs and do the preview of Hershey Park at 6:30pm. Park closes at 10.
Day 2: breakfast then go to park 1 hr early. Do waterpark first and then dry rides. Only doing kiddie rides. No roller coasters or adult rides. And then head home.
Is this a good plan?
Any suggestions? Thanks!!

At Chocolate World, was thinking of going the free tour ride, create your own candy bar, 3d movie and possibly the trolley through the town.
Any feedback on these activities?

We recently did the candy bar thing, and I was disappointed lol but my kids liked it. It's all done by a machine and you just watch it go through. They also have a make your own cupcake upstairs.

Re: If you've been to Hershey Park, does this sound like a good plan?
We stayed longer when we went last week, but our Hershey plan was similar to yours. We arrived at our hotel in Lancaster on a Sunday around 1 after stopping for lunch. We used the pool for a few hours and then got dressed and ready for Hershey. We got to Chocolate World around 4:30. Maybe I've never gone on a Sunday before, but it was very crowded. We did the free tour, some photo ops, and some browsing. A few people in our group got ice cream. But like i said, it was crowded and warm and we had a lot of time before the park, so we left there and ate our dinner at Fuddruckers. I don't know if you get a better preview plan because you're staying at Hershey Lodge, but for us, we couldn't go in until 7:30, so dinner was a good way to kill time. We originally assumed we would eat in the food court but this plan was better for us.
We went the next day. We did not go for opening because we were so tired. We got there around 11:30 and did mostly kiddie rides. We were with family who spent most of the day at the water rides. We all left the park around 6. This worked for us.

We did 2 nights, but 2 days at the parks (one full day at HP, 1/2 day at chocolate world). I think your plan is doable. We didn't do the preview because we did Crayola Factory on the way to Hershey and were tired by the time we checked in. We did the ride at Chocolate World and the 3D movie. DD was 2.5 at the time and loved both. We didn't do the candy bar thing because the line was long and DD was getting a little tired.

did you book the candy bar making activity in advance or can we just pay for it when we get there?

We just payed when we got there. You buy the tickets when you first walk in to Hershey world, I think it's to the right.
