Talk to me about Hershey Park
Need a two night getaway with the family in August. DH is super busy with work and we put a lot of money in our backyard this summer so can't afford a long vacation and nothing too expensive. Was considering Hershey Park. Any places outside the park that's nice? WHen is the best time to go during the week?
Thanks!

Re: Talk to me about Hershey Park
We went to Hershey and Dutch Wonderland with my 3 and 6 year old boys. They loved it. We stayed at Eden, which was a perfect family friendly hotel. It's very close to Dutch Wonderland and about 40 minutes to Hershey. We went to Hershey on a Monday in July. It was crowded, but not terrible. My kids are very easygoing and have lots of energy. We got to chocolate world around 9:30,spent less than an hour there and then stayed at the park until closing. We went to Dutch Wonderland on a Wednesday. It rained early that morning and there was a chance of showers later in the day. The weather ended up being good and it was pretty empty. My kids really didn't have to wait in line for the rides, which was nice. It's definitely best to go during the week probably Tuesday through Thursday if you want the least crowded days.
