What brand/model do you have and love? Didn't put one of my registry for some reason but going away in August and would like to have it for DD to sleep in the hotel room! Thanks!

Okay, so I just saw this on the Buy Buy Baby site -- it's $299.99! How great can a pack and play be for that price?!?! That's like a month's car payment! Convince me I need this, DaniJude......

That's insanity!

Unless you're going to use it all the time, that sounds like a waste IMO.

We got a Graco with napper and changing table. We have barely used it so I'm glad it was a gift lol.

I'd go with this one.

Why is this so expensive? What's so great about it?

Pack-N-Play Recs?

We have the graco with the bassinet - use is daily as a changing table for the 1st floor, use it every time we travel, it's definitely been worth the $$ for us (we do a lot of weekend trips).

My DS hates the graco and sleeps terribly in it.

Just get the cheapest graco one. My DS slept better in it when we bought a mattress.

We have the same style Graco one and it does the trick.

I read the reviews for the 4 moms one when I saw it in a registry. I don't get it! It's supposed to be so easy to set up but so is the Graco. A lot of reviews said it's too heavy for travel or not good for sleeping bc the pad is so hard.Chat Icon

I have and love the 4moms one too. You can open/close it and put it away with one hand which I love, bc I don't keep it out. Then again I'm a nut and hate having baby stuff out in the house..this lives in dds closet

Same. I think you don't need all the bells & whistles. We have 2 pnp's & one of them has the additional changer/napper & we don't even use it. The basic one with the adjustable mattress height is all you need... we bought a thick comfortable mattress for it (because I find the one it comes with to be too thin) & our newborn sleeps in it overnight with no problem.

I have the 4moms and I honestly think it's a waste. Thankfully, we won it. The only positive is it's super easy to put away. Also on top of the $300 price tag, each of the sheets are $40-$50 and not a standard size and sold separately. So it's really a $400+ purchase. I'm not impressed with it. I use it as a changing table only. And even this stinks because the bassinet is so low haha.

I have the Guava Lotus travel crib and I love it. Dd sleeps really well in it. The sheet is sold separately. I have a discount code for a free sheet:http://guavafamily.refr.cc/CVPKM9C

This.

When I registered for this I did so because of the limited space in my house. I also didn't really register for "expensive" stuff otherwise - a lot of friends of mine got at least one or two strollers that were each very pricey and I didn't. I got a reasonable umbrella stroller. I used the snap and go with the infant seat for as long as I could until I used that.

I also didn't get a highchair. I just got a seat that clips to a regular chair, it was dirt cheap.

We travel a lot - and not just far to go on trips but also to go to my mom's, my aunt's, at the time when DS was young and I was still married to MIL's, etc. So, it was wonderful to be able to pack that up and then set it up in literally under sixty seconds. And being a single mom now I can do this myself - SO effortlessly, which is huge.

Also, for me, I saw my brother use his pack and play with my nephew SO MUCH and it was the biggest PITA to put together... That was a while back and they have come a long way with other models, so I don't know if other models do the same for less - but, for me, once I saw this it was an important thing for me. it can also act as a sleeper when we are away until my son is like FIVE Chat Icon I have already, he will be two in September, used it literally at least 65 times OUTSIDE the house -- including seven actual trips... meaning, where we stayed at a place vs. just going to family's houses. And that's not including using it at home as a playpen when he was at that age or using it for changing and whatnot when he was first born. Or just day to day in the house. And it sits upright, goes into it's handy dandy sleeve and chills in my coat closet when I don't use it. LOVE that. My house when DS was born was a bungalow so I needed that. Then, now, I have a condo and I keep it right under my bed so it's easy to grab when I need it --- using it next in two weeks when we go to Dutch Wonderland.

It fit in the bathroom at the hotel in Cape May so he slept in there lol that way I could watch TV and hang out with my boyfriend in the room while he was asleep... because he goes to bed at like 7pm the latest Chat Icon

WELL worth it -- used a 20% off coupon, well, my cousin who bought it did... for my shower... and it is wonderful. Holds up AMAZINGLY well too and I will use it with my next child, and so on... It's not like it's THAT much more than a lot of other PNP's.
