Dutch Wonderland?

For a 2.5 yr old and 11 month old...we are thinking of going, but I'm wondering, is it so much better than adventureland that it's worth the trip? Or do you do other things nearby as well? I know Eden resort is popular for pool, but it's booked.
Looking for a fun last minute trip by car.

Re: Dutch Wonderland?

I'm actually driving back from there now. With a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old. We stayed at eden, but I have friends that stayed at country inn directly across from DW. They said it was nice.

I love DW. This was our second year. I feel it's geared perfectly for this age group. Plus they have a small water park too. I like it a lot better than adventure land.

This trip and last year we have done
-horse and buggy rides
-kettle kitchen
-pretzel factory
-hands on house

We keep saying next year we'll try somewhere else, but when we leave we talk about how perfect this vacation was for our DC.

Dutch Wonderland?

Lancaster is a great trip for that age. We went last year and we're going again this year. My kids are 2.5 and 14 months. My son loved the Choo Choo Barn and Cherry Crest Adventure Farm was great too. We plan on trying some of the other things there are to do this time now that are son is a little older. We stayed at Lancaster Host Resort last year and will again this year.

Stayed at the Kettle Inn in Intercourse which was great! Booked the two bedroom apartment, two bath for only $300 a night. Your in Kettle Village so you are close to cute shops etc. there is a playground there as well. We loved the location - not too far from Dutch Wonderland.

We also booked the play at Sight and Sound Theater... It was awesome!! My two year old loved it and if they act up, there is a play room within the theater to retreat to. Also, look at Verdant Farm, your two year old can do the farmer apprentice activity.
