October trip

We're looking to take a little trip for DS2's 2nd bday in mid-October. We also have another DS who will be 4.5 Our thoughts so far have been Dutch Wonderland for the Halloween event or Mystic, though I think a lot of the fun Mystic things are shut down by October.

Any other suggestions? We don't want to drive too far and we don't have a lot of money to spend!

October trip

We did a family (included extended family) trip to Great Escape Lodge. THere is an indoor water park in the Lodge and 6 flags next door. We went in October so 6 flags had a fright fest and the amusement park was open.

The kids had a blast. THe first night we were there, Scooby Doo read a bedtime story. A package was purchased so the kids got to stuff their own animal, do a sand art project and color a t shirt they picked out.

They also have a hunt similar to what they have a great wolf with the wands and the kids went around the hotel looking for the clues with the wand. (DH did it with the kids- I didn't)

We spend more time at the amusement park then the water park which surprised me but it was a fun trip.
