Quick meal ideas
My mother watches DS during the day. I make food and keep in fridge (or freeze some things like homemade pops, purees, pancakes, etc) so she can get it ready for him easily, but sometimes he just doesn't want whatever I prepped that day/week. It's a lot for my mother to try to make him something while watching him but she will do eggs, PBnJ or things that are quick. What are some other meal ideas that she can put together in a pinch? He's almost 16 months old and not a great chewer so foods have to be mushy or have the ability to cut really small. TIA!

Re: Quick meal ideas
when my kids were that age, my go-to if time was tough or they weren't into what was for dinner was yogurt and a banana. It's something healthy and filling.

Re: Quick meal ideas
I regularly buy the rotisserie chickens from the supermarket, my kids love that. Macaroni and cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. My little guy is 15 months and for him I make macaroni and pour one of the puree veggies or fruits over it (instead of red sauce) and he gobbles it up.

Re: Quick meal ideas
* open faced grilled cheese (easier to chew/make in toaster oven) * Annies Mac & Cheese Deluxe (Creamy cheese pouch) * Pasta w/ frozen mixed veggie foresome (cut up the stringbeans a little smaller, garlic/oil for "sauce) * Refried Bean & Cheese Quesadilla (cut up into small bites) * Shredded mozzeralla, avocado, crackers, fruits * Cream cheese on lightly toasted bread
---- I usually serve mixed veggie foresome, avocado, fruit, shredded cheese as sides.
